Original soundtrack to the feature film, COMMON PEOPLE, by Stewart Alexander and Kerry Skinner.
Described by Danny Leigh (from BBC FILM 2014) as, "A sweet and huge-hearted story of London life," COMMON PEOPLE is a bittersweet British comedy that weaves together six stories of disparate Londoners whose lives become intertwined when they encounter an escaped parrot on a London Common.
COMMON PEOPLE received its world premiere in the USA at the Sedona International Film Festival where it won The Independent Spirit Award and has gone on to win, and be nominated for numerous awards at international film festivals.
The UK premiere of COMMON PEOPLE was set to be a one-off screening at the Clapham Picturehouse in London, but it proved so popular that it went on to play there for nine weeks. Picturehouse then offered to screen the film in 17 cinemas nationwide as part of their 'Discover Tuesdays' programme. It was the first film ever to be included without a distributor attached and was one of the most successful films in the programme.
